There’s a new luxury, minimalist, and clean beau There’s a new luxury, minimalist, and clean beauty brand in town and her name is @merit. Being “The Luxe Minimalist,” I was so excited when the brand sent over a couple of their products to try out.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I chose The Minimalist, which is a complexion stick that comes in 20 shades and meant to be used only where you need it to even out your skin tone. Since it’s more of a tinted product, each shade should be able to stretch across a range of skin tones.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I also tried out the Brow 1980 pomade and if you hate doing brows as much as I do, you need this product. It adds the perfect amount of pigment and hold in one easy step, leaving you with fuller but natural-looking brows.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
These two products are so easy to use and the packaging is top-notch. I’ve already added them to my WFH beauty rotation.

If you are a fellow luxury beauty lover, you’ll be able to shop Merit on Sephora.com starting February 16th. @sephora #MERIT #MeritMinimalist
Not going to lie, I'm still a little confused by t Not going to lie, I'm still a little confused by treatment essence but I use it anyway. I know it's a product that's supposed to hydrate the skin but I'm a little skeptical about the claim to help the subsequent products work better? I usually just stick to toners but I decided to give the @kiehls essence another try. I can't really tell if it's doing anything on its own but my skin was doing the most (aka I was doing the most to my skin) a few months ago, so I made the executive decision to rebuy all of the Kiehl's products I used to use when my skin was at its best & most radiant. Let me know your thoughts on this step. Do you see a difference when using an essence?
I have been loving the conversation around the nor I have been loving the conversation around the normalization of black women in luxury. When I created my blog, The Luxe Minimalist, I knew I wanted to focus on sharing high-quality products that I loved. When people call me "fancy," "bougie," etc. I say "I sure am." There's nothing wrong with preferring quality over quantity and I'm excited to see the community that's being formed online around this topic. Whether it's beauty, fashion, cars, travel, homes, or non-material areas of our lives, we DESERVE the best. PERIODT.
Happy Friday!! I’m spilling my trash and sharing Happy Friday!! I’m spilling my trash and sharing some products I used up over the past few months (more like the past year 🙈) over on the blog. Am I the only one that feels super accomplished after using up a product? It takes me FOREVER because I tend to work on multiples in the same category at the same time. 😩 I’m working on finding my holy grails this year to practice the “less is more” life I’ve always aspired to live lol. Anyway, my 2020 Empties post is now live on the blog. If you have any questions about any of these products, happy to answer them on the comments below! #linkinbio
These have been in constant rotation since I got t These have been in constant rotation since I got them. 😍 The @fentybeauty Gloss Bomb Creams are my new favorite formula of lip gloss. If you’re a fan of the NYX Butter Gloss, you’ll love these even more. They’re more pigmented, more moisturizing, and not sticky which is why I love them so much. They last for a couple of hours and even when the pigment wears off, my lips still feel soft and moisturized. Have you tried these yet?
Y’all know how much I love my @vitruvi diffuser. Y’all know how much I love my @vitruvi diffuser. I’ve written an in-depth review on my blog that gets a lot of love, so I guess a lot of people are curious about it. I’m so happy to share that I am now a Vitruvi Ambassador and have an affiliate code that new customers can use to get 15% off their first order. The link is in my bio under “Save $$$” and my code is COREYIEL. I know you’ll love it as much as I do. ✨

2-in-1 skincare concealer? Just what we need for t 2-in-1 skincare concealer? Just what we need for this stay-at-home lifestyle we’re all currently living. @diormakeup Forever Skin Correct is the most comfortable medium-to-full coverage concealer I’ve ever used. I love that I can just apply this, mascara, and brows and feel put together. What does your current makeup routine look like?
