Project Pan 2018 | Finish 10 by Fall’s End

project pan Fall 2018

It was only a matter of time before I started with the Fall posts. This is my favorite time of the year when I get super motivated to reset and start a new routine. I’m talking about trying new products, going new places, starting new hobbies, and getting into a healthier routine. No new season feels right without a major declutter session but this time, I thought I’d try something different. I’m doing a project pan where I try to use up 10 products by the end of Fall.

Here’s what I’m trying to use up:

SKINCARE project pan Fall 2018

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water ($8.99) – This was purchased over a year ago and it’s been pushed to the back because I’ve been using my Bioderma Sensibio. Now that I’ve used that up, I can finally finish this one. This is a more affordable dupe for the Bioderma one and it comes in different versions based on your skin type. I’ll be using this as a morning cleanser and makeup remover/pre-cleanse like I did with Sensibio. I have about 1/4 of the bottle left.

Rodial Glamoxy Snake Mask ($83) – I received this peel-off mask as a gift in 2016 but didn’t open it until 2017. I usually love peel-off masks but this has an irritating smell that burns my eyes. I think it’s the licorice. Nonetheless, I want to finish this so I can toss it, which should be easy since it’s nearly done.

Yves Saint Laurent ‘Top Secrets’ Natural Action Exfoliator ($44) – I also received this as a gift in 2017 and it’s unlike any exfoliator I’ve ever used. It doesn’t have particles and uses fine sugars and oils to gently remove dead skin. I want to use this up to see if it makes a difference. Full review coming soon on this. I have a full bottle to use up.

FRAGRANCE/BODYCARE

Soap & Glory Heel Genius Foot Cream ($5) – I’m the worst at applying body lotions. I want to get in the habit of using them so I’m starting from the feet up. This is travel-sized so I’m hoping to finish it up quickly. I have a full tube left.

Burberry Body Perfume ($56) – This was given to me as a gift a while back but it isn’t that special of a scent, so it was always overshadowed by others in my collection. I’m placing this somewhere that will remind me to wear it more. If the scent doesn’t suit me, I plan on giving it away and replacing it with another for this round of the Project 10 Pan. I have a full bottle left.

Rihanna Nude Perfume ($22) – I actually loved this scent; it’s sweet and sexy. I want to finish this as I only have a few sprays left and it’s taking up space in my perfume drawer.

MAKEUP

Maybelline Fit Me! Matte + Poreless Foundation ($6) – I’ve repurchased this many times. It’s a medium-to-full coverage matte foundation that is a really good match for my skin tone (I wear shade 330 Toffee Caramel). I have some other matte foundations that I like better, so I just want to use this up. I have about 1/4 bottle left.

Nars Orgasm Illuminator ($30) – I’ve been working on this liquid highlighter for a while now. You’d think that since it can be used before foundation, mixed with foundation, and after that I would have made more progress by now but there’s so much product in the tube. I also have some other liquid highlighters that have come into my collection. I will be sad when this is gone but its time has come. I have 1/2 tube left.

Maybelline Master Fix Powder x2 ($7) – This is already pretty empty but I have a backup ready to replace this one in the Project Pan once this one is done. I’ve already used up one; I liked it so much that I bought 2 backups. I have a couple of high-end translucent powders that are on my list, so I’m hoping to use these up quickly. I have 1 full jar and an almost empty jar to use up.

This may be a challenge but I’m looking forward to downsizing my collection to only the things I truly love. Have you had any success with doing a project pan?
