Glossier Bubblewrap Eye & Lip Plumping Cream Review

Glossier is a brand that caters to the skincare loving girls and I’m one of them. One of their recent launches is one I could see coming but I had no idea it would be the multitasker that is Glossier Bubblewrap Eye & Lip Plumping Cream. I figured that it couldn’t be long before the brand released an eye cream but I didn’t know what innovation would be in the formula, until now.

How much is the Glossier Bubblewrap Eye & Lip Plumping Cream?

I received the Bubblewrap Eye & Lip Plumping Cream* on my doorstep and the skin under my eyes rejoiced! The Glossier Bubblewrap Eye & Lip Plumping Cream is $26 and is supposed to hydrate and smooth your under-eye area and lips.

What’s in the Glossier Bubblewrap Eye & Lip Plumping Cream?

Key ingredients include hyaluronic acid, squalane, avocado oil and antioxidant-rich blueberry extract. So, now for the question you’re here to answer, does it work?

Glossier Bubblewrap Eye & Lip Plumping Cream Review

Under the eyes, this water-in-oil formula feels so good and absorbs quickly, making it perfect to use before applying makeup. It’s light and refreshing, which is the feeling I look for in an eye cream. These are the immediate things I notice about this product. If you’re a fan of the Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado, like me, you’ve probably noticed some similarities in the main ingredients, like avocado oil, and formula, water-in-oil. I have to warn you that that’s where the similarities stop.

Texture-wise, the Bubblewrap is much lighter than the Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado, which is thicker and a bit oilier. I find that the Kiehl’s one is much more moisturizing but the Glossier Bubblewrap Eye & Lip Plumping Cream is more suitable for daytime wear and underneath makeup.

Glossier Bubblewrap Eye & Lip Plumping Cream Review

I have to be honest, I find that using this as a lip cream is weird and there is a slight tingle on application. The texture is too lightweight to moisturize my lips. I prefer using lip balms and masks with a more tacky, jelly-like texture. The few times I did use this on my lips, it felt a bit too light to have any lasting moisturizing effects. If I did use it as a lip cream on the regular, it would have to be followed by my beloved Balm Dotcom or Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask, which would just be too many steps for me.

Overall, I love using the Glossier Bubblewrap Eye & Lip Plumping Cream as an everyday eye cream, however, I can’t get into using a cream to moisturize my lips. I’d much rather use this as an eye cream and use something different to moisturize my lips.
