You know something is good when you can’t stop thinking about it and you want to do it consistent. I’m talking about brunch. I’ve been to Refuel Cafe on Hampson st. two Sundays in a row and I don’t see a problem with that. I’m a person who hates routine, so I love to try new things.
Refuel is one of the new brunch spots I try and that I want to keep trying over and over again. As I mentioned in this post, I’m not a big fan of French toast, or at least, I wasn’t. Refuel Cafe does brunch so well that I don’t even have a want to try any other place. The first Sunday at Refuel, I got the Brioche French Toast with applewood bacon and eggs over medium. I also got the Southern Pecan coffee which was really good too! That was the best French toast of my life. The reason I wasn’t a fan of French toast is because I just can’t do soggy bread. The chefs at Refuel understand this. They make it crispier so it would absorb all of the syrup. Brilliant! It was so good that I got it again this week with scrambled eggs this time.
My friends all ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit the first time we went. They all said it was even better than it looked. I wanted to try it the next time we went to Refuel but they were out of biscuits.
If you’re looking for a brunch spot this morning, give Refuel a try. You won’t regret it. And have a slice of French toast for me while you’re there.
