My couch was finally delivered 6 months after I ordered it but I have to say, it was well worth the wait. I decided to get a white couch and wanted a modular sectional similar to the Restoration Hardware Cloud Couch but without the crazy expensive price tag. Price

I found this crisp white Cali Pearl modular sectional for under $2500, which is a steal compared to others on the market. With in-home delivery and assembly, I paid $2209 for 4 pieces. Each piece was $515 at the time of purchase but has since increased to $575 each.

Availability

I purchased this couch from TOV Furniture but it’s also available here. I think this couch will become more in demand due to the affordable price point, so I expect that it will become available on more sites soon.

White Couch Care

I know most people are hesitant to invest in a white couch since bright colors tend to attract dirt. However, I live alone, so there’s minimal regular upkeep. To maintain cleanliness, I use blankets while lounging on the sofa and use trays if I decide to eat from the couch.

As you’d expect from a white couch, there are small spots that pop up from touching or brushing up against the fabric. For those, I’ll spot clean using a warm soap towel. To clean larger areas or the entire frame, I use a portable steam cleaner. I’m still figuring out how to best use the machine as I’ve noticed that it doesn’t restore the couch to the original bright white. I may have to hire someone to do a deep clean but it’s been a good solution for a quick refresh.

The best thing about this couch is that the pillow and cushion covers are removable, so I just toss them in the washing machine and dryer, and they look brand new after.

As an extra safeguard, I’ve also sprayed the sofa with Scotchgard to protect it against liquids.

Comfortability

We can clearly see that the Cali Pearl Modular Sectional is beautiful but is it comfortable? The answer is yes and no. When you first sit, the pillow tops feel nice but after 2+ hours, you begin to sink to the floor. It’s also low to the ground, so you will need to bend more to sit.

Would I Recommend the Cali Pearl Couch?

If the title of the post didn’t make it clear, I’m very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend this couch to anyone looking for an affordable dupe for the Restoration Hardware Cloud Couch. The quality, color, price, and ability to remove and wash the pillow and cushion covers all make this a perfect choice. Although I’ve only owned it for a week, this is one of my favorite purchases I’ve made for my apartment. That said, I will update you with a review in about 6 months.

Cali Pearl Modular Sectional – 2 Year Update

Would I still recommend this couch? It depends. I still think this is a great couch – it’s beautiful and easy to clean. However, as I mentioned above, after a few hours of lounging, it’s not the most comfortable. If there was one thing I could change about this couch, it would be the firmness of the pillow top cushions. If you’re a person who prefers a soft mattress over a firm one, you will love this couch. I personally love a firmer mattress with more support and I’ve discovered I prefer the same quality in my couch.
