Since sharing an unboxing of the Gucci Angelina Platform Slide Sandals in their new Multicolor GG Linen color, I’ve received so many comments and questions about whether they’re comfortable and worth it. Here is my full review of the Gucci Angelina Platform Slides.

Spring is here and so are the new fashion drops. I came across the Gucci Angelina platform slides in this new multicolor design while doing my regular virtual window shopping and immediately added them to my wishlist. I had so many outfit ideas come to mind, which rarely happens, so I knew I needed to add them to my spring/summer capsule wardrobe. I started to see these pop up on a couple of fashion accounts on Instagram and knew they would sell out quickly. So after watching some reviews of the other versions of Gucci Angelina Platform Slides, I placed my order.
Are Gucci platform sandals comfortable?
I’ve seen some comments saying how these are heavy and while they are heavier than flats, they do not feel like ankle weights as some people have suggested. That said, since these are made of a linen canvas material, they can rub against the tops of your feet, so I recommend going a half size up and adding these cushions to the top of the insides to avoid any friction.
It takes some practice if you’re not used to walking in flatform shoes but once you do, you will love them.
How do the Gucci platform sandals run?
I’ve seen some people say they sized down but I find that the Gucci Platform Slide Sandals run true to size. I usually wear a 7.5 but I always size a 1/2 size up in backless styles to avoid my feet hanging over the backs. I ordered the 38 in these and they are a little roomy on my narrow feet but I think the extra space makes them more comfortable.
Caring for the Gucci Platform Slides
As I mentioned, these have a light linen material on the exterior and light-colored leather on the inside, so I sprayed the exterior with Scotchgard to protect them from spills. The insides should stay clean as long as you don’t walk in muddy or dusty areas. When you’re not wearing them, I recommend stuffing them with the tissue they come with and storing them in their dust bags.
This was my first shoe purchase from Gucci since high school and I love them. It’s the perfect shoe to easily add some color to my minimalistic wardrobe this summer, so get ready to see me in these a lot, because y’all know I wear my things. If you’re debating getting these, girl, just do it. You will not regret it.
