It’s been a while since I’ve purchased a designer handbag and even longer since I’ve purchased anything from Marc Jacobs but I recently rediscovered my love for the brand after coming across their Snapshot Camera Bag; I knew I had to have it. I discovered the Marc Jacobs Snapshot Camera Bag in 2019 and since then, I’ve seen it on so many sites in various colors – it was like it was calling my name. I didn’t know which color I’d go with – maybe white or black? Then I saw the mirrored silver version and knew it was the one.
I have a pair of silver mirrored boots from Public Desire that I love and have been on a search for a matching bag, so when I found this one, I added it to my list on KarmaNow and waited for a sale. Eventually, it went on sale at Bloomingdale’s which was perfect since they also had a promo offer in the American Express app. After using this bag for about a year, I’m sharing my Marc Jacobs Snapshot Bag review.

I wanted to share the MJ Snapshot Camera bag because I think it’s a great entry-level to designer bags. It ranges from $295-$400 depending on the finish, hardware, etc, so it’s under $500. It also comes in a variety of colors to fit any style and is a simple, well-made design.
The MJ Snapshot Camera bag is a small crossbody bag, featuring a removable wide seatbelt style strap, two narrow zip interior compartments, a tiny interior card pocket, a slim exterior back pocket, and the brand’s continuous double J logo on the front. It comes with its own dust bag to protect it when it’s not in use, which is always a nice touch.

The bag doesn’t hold much but it’s perfect for your on-the-go essentials such as your phone (fits the iPhone 11 Pro Max, a card case, keys, and your lip product of the day. I love this as a going-out bag or for quick errands. If you’re looking for something small that can get only the essentials, I would recommend this style.
I’d also recommend this to someone who is looking to dip a toe in the designer bag world since it’s relatively affordable ranging from $295-$400. You can also find some styles on sale.
