It’s been a while since I’ve purchased a designer handbag and even longer since I’ve purchased anything from Marc Jacobs but I recently rediscovered my love for the brand after coming across their Snapshot Camera Bag; I knew I had to have it. I discovered the Marc Jacobs Snapshot Camera Bag I think last year and since then, I’ve seen it on so many sites in various colors – it was like it was calling my name. I didn’t know which color I’d go with, maybe white, or black? Then I saw the mirrored silver version and knew it was the one. I have a pair of silver mirrored boots from Public Desire that I love and have been on a search for a matching bag. I added it to my Shop Tagr list and waited for a sale. I ended up purchasing the Snapshot Camera Bag on Bloomingdale’s since they had a promo they were running with American Express. Today I’m sharing my Marc Jacobs Snapshot Bag review.
As you’ve probably noticed from the recent updates to the look and layout of the blog, as well as the content of the newsletter, I’ve decided to focus more on luxury for less, bougie on a budget, or whatever you want to call it lol. Of course, I’ll still be sharing full-priced items that I think are worth the investment and how to save for your luxury wishlist but I’ve been having so much fun hunting for the best designer deals and sharing them with you.
With that said, I wanted to share the MJ Snapshot Camera bag because I think it’s a great entry-level to designer bags. It’s under $500, comes in a variety of colors to fit any style, and is a simple, well-made design.
The MJ Snapshot Camera bag is a small crossbody bag, featuring a removable wide seatbelt style strap, two narrow zip interior compartments, a tiny interior card pocket, a slim exterior back pocket, and the brand’s continuous double J logo on the front. It also comes with its own dust bag to protect it when it’s not in use.
The bag doesn’t hold much but it’s perfect for your on-the-go essentials such as your phone (fits the iPhone 11 Pro Max, a card case, keys, and your lip product of the day. I love this as a going out bag or for quick errands, so if that fits your every day or even your weekend life, I would recommend this style.
I’d also recommend this to someone who is looking to dip a toe in the designer bag world since it’s relatively affordable ranging from $275-$325. You can also find some styles on sale. I’ll be continuously adding any sale options I find to this post, so keep an eye out for those.

Unfortunately, the silver mirrored version seems to be sold out everywhere but there are some many other great colors to choose from. I’m currently eyeing the monochrome blue and red ones (see below). What are your thoughts on the Marc Jacobs Snapshot bag?
