Spring Luxury Haul

Desert Hills Premium Outlets in Palm Springs is one of the best I’ve been to—and I’m lucky to live just a two-hour drive away. I check in every so often and usually pick up an item or two, but this recent trip was by far my most successful.

I went with a friend visiting from New York, and we both decided to reward ourselves after a few intense months of work. Since we work in similar industries, it was so refreshing to have a shopping day with someone who gets all the behind-the-scenes hustle.

Before heading out, I made a mental list of what I was looking for to avoid any impulsive buys. Here’s what I picked up—and a few surprise finds I couldn’t resist.

IRO Billie Denim Patchwork Buckle Detailed Sandals

I’d been wanting a pair of versatile spring sandals, and these are it. Think elevated dad sandal/Birkenstock vibes. Super comfortable and minimalist-approved. I can picture these with so many different outfits and as a minimalist, that’s always a good sign of a good buy. I couldn’t find them online—they seem to be sold out—so if you’re interested, try calling IRO stores directly. They run true to size

Coach Mini Rowan Crossbody Bag

I’ve been into playful bags and charms lately, especially from Coach, so I was so happy when I found the Mini Rowan bag and bag charm in the Coach outlet store.

I scored this combo for about $225 total – a great price for a trendier item like this and the perfect playful style for throwing on with casual outfits to run errands.

Prada Havana Sunglasses

Also on my list was a pair of brown sunglasses with yellow lenses and these (style PR A01S) checked both of those boxes. I love the size, shape, and how they look on my face. They were originally $489 but I picked them up for $290. I should have done some quick research though because I was able to find them even cheaper here. Lesson learned: always do a quick price check!

Celine Jacquard Ribbon Sandals in black

I had these on my wishlist for a while after seeing them online a few months ago. I forgot about them until I spotted them at the outlet and luckily I found them for half off at $435! I originally wanted the nude pair, but they didn’t have my size. However, they did have my size in the black and I knew I could easily style these and get my cost per wear. The cheapest I’ve been able to find them online is $545 HERE.

Margiela Snatched Crossbody Red Patent

Maison Margiela Snatched Crossbody Bag

As we were leaving, I found the one thing I’d been on the hunt for for months – a red handbag. I knew I wanted a small to medium red handbag that could fit my necessities (keys, phone, wallet, small camera) and add a pop of color to my typical neutral outfits. We double-backed to Maison Margiela to pick up an item my friend had them hold and I saw it. The Snatched Crossbody Bag. The color immediately spoke to me saying “Here I am.” And the cherry on top was that it was an extra 30% off the already discounted price.

Designed by John Galliano, the bag is genderless and can be worn multiple ways—crossbody, clutch, or belt bag. I first saw it on my sis and favorite jewelry brand founder, Jewell The Jeweler, when we were in Paris. It’s very different from anything I own—and that’s what I loved about it.

Since this was at the very end of our shopping trip and I had already spent more than I expected (remember, I don’t typically have this much luck at outlets, so I went in with very low expectations), I decided to take a day to think about it. Well, I couldn’t stop thinking about it and drove back two hours the very next morning to pick it up. I couldn’t find this exact color online but I did find some fun options that are on sale HERE.

There were a few other pieces that caught my eye and made it onto my wishlist. I’ll share those below in case they spark some inspiration for your next shopping trip.

In the meantime, this is your reminder that luxury doesn’t have to break the bank. With strategic planning and thoughtful budgeting, it can be attainable.
