BeautyPress Home & Beauty Haul

I was invited to attend a Beauty Press event recently where a few brands showed their newest offerings to editors and bloggers. I’m so happy that I was able to attend and be introduced to some amazing brands that I had never heard of before. Many of the brands let me choose some of their products to try and share with you all. Here is what I got from the event and what I’ll be trying out over the next few weeks. I will definitely report back with my thoughts and discoveries of these products.

I’ve heard of the nail polish brand LVX from a youtuber I watch, so I was excited to see them at the event. The creator of the vegan nail polish brand was very nice and gave me their gel top coat and a color from their Spring collection. I chose “Blush“, a nude-pink that I fell in love with. The polishes are 7 toxin free, cruelty free and they last for a long time. I’ve already tried it and I love the shade and wear time. I haven’t tried the gel top coat yet but I will let you know how I like it either here or on twitter when I do!

IMG_6531Caolion is a skincare brand that I hadn’t heard of before but is well known by others. Sephora carries this line, proving them very reputable. The Korean brand focuses on minimizing pores and blackheads and it’s made with sensitive skin in mind. Caolion is free of  fragrances, alcohol and synthetic dye and it’s hypoallergenic. They were very generous and gave me a duo cleanser and two masks to try. I have the Hot & Cool Pore Foam Cleansing Duo, the Pore Tightening Memory Sleeping Mask, and the Premium Blackhead O2 Bubble Pore Pack. These products work in ways that I haven’t heard of before. The Blackhead O2 Bubble Pore Pack is a charcoal mask made with sparkling water and it foams up when you leave it on for a few minutes. Then there’s the Pore Tightening Memory Sleeping Mask that acts like memory foam and shapes to your face to tighten pores and enhance elasticity. I don’t want to get too deep into these products because I want to do an in-depth review after trying them out. It’s safe to say that I am very intrigued by this brand.

I stopped by the Mitchell Black booth to learn more about the brand and was pleasantly surprised to find out that it was a lifestyle brand. Mitchell Black offers many home and office products but I walked away with a candle and a set of tray dishes. The candles are really scented and luxurious. They look so cute on the dishes. I’ve also been using the dishes as jewelry trays and coasters.

I want to send a big thank you to Beauty Press! I love being invited to different events to learn about new brands. This blog is all about discovery; product discovery, self-discovery and lifestyle discovery. What is something you have recently discovered? Share with us in the comments below!
