If you’ve never shopped Target’s clothing section, you’re missing out. Target is my favorite mega store. I go there to buy all of my beauty products, stationery, home goods, exercise accessories and snacks. For some reason, I never really ventured into their clothing section unless it was to purchase workout gear. After talking to some friends and them raving about Target’s clothing section, I decided to find out how good it was for myself.
I went into Target one Friday afternoon to see what my friends were raving about and I was pleasantly surprised. I found racks of affordable-to-moderately priced pieces that were on trend and able to be paired with pieces that I already owned. I love a high-low mix of pieces when styling my outfits, so I was happy to find affordable options to pair with other key pieces. I found this black and white tribal print romper, which was only $22.99! I love rompers because they are easy to just throw on and go. They can easily be taken from day-to-night with just a switch of shoes and accessories.
During the day, I styled the romper with a white cut off jacket from Topshop, my Alexander Wang Rocco black with rose gold hardware duffle, black birkenstocks. The jacket was a light weight denim that is perfect for cool summer nights. Though my Rocco bag weighs 3 lbs on its own, I still love it as my carry all bag. It’s my favorite purchase. If you’ve been with me since last summer, you know that I live in my Arizona birkenstock sandals during the hotter months. They are so laid back, so they are perfect for me.
For accessories, I stuck to my favorites, thin gold bracelets and crawler earrings from Trendz and thin gold “New York” necklace from Topshop. I also picked up a straw hat from Trendz for this hot New Orleans summer. These are my favorite sunglasses by Quay Australia. My lip color is Cruella velvet lip pencil by NARS.
Night
To demonstrate how to take this look to night, I switched to a smaller bag from Deux Lux that can be worn as a clutch or cross body. I also switched the shoes to chunky heels that I ordered from Asos. They are so comfortable to walk in.
I love Target’s fashion section. I also picked up a pair of Tuxedo stripe styled pants that you may see soon. Have you shopped Target’s fashion department?
