This past Sunday there was such nice weather in New York, so we headed out to explore the city. My sister, her boyfriend and I headed down to the Brooklyn Bridge since my sister had never been. It was so nice because it wasn’t crowded and it wasn’t too cold. We decided to walk to Manhattan via the bridge. I was happy to get some outfit photos on the bridge.
I stopped at Lush on East 14th st. and picked up a bath bomb. The Christmas products are now in stores, so I wanted to pick something up. I only picked up one item, the Luxury Lush Pud, because I had a very pushy sales girl and I like to shop in peace.
After, we started to look for food. Anytime I don’t know what to eat, I open up my Yelp app and see what’s in the neighborhood. I came across the restaurant “Cafeteria” on 7th ave and we all agreed on it. It was so cute; they even had the heaters for the outside seating area, which is very important in my book.
I had the Tomato Basil soup, which had a tiny cube of a grilled cheese in the center and Truffle Parmesan Fries and both were very delicious. I also had a glass of Riesling and a Cosmo. The Riesling was very good but the Cosmo wasn’t great, which was disappointing since it was the first one I had in New York. My sister and her boyfriend got the burger; he also got the calamari. They both loved the burger and the calamari was very good. Overall, I really liked Cafeteria. The food was on point. They also do Brunch, which is one of my favorite meals, so I have to try it out one weekend. Sunday was a fun and relaxing day; the perfect way to start the week.
What is your favorite thing to do on Sundays?
