For this post, I thought I’d take things back to the good old days of beauty favorites. I can’t believe we’re already in our third month of 2016. Before you know it, it’ll be May and I’ll be 25. February was a month of transitioning into new jobs and spending time with family and friends. I discovered and rediscovered some of my favorite beauty products and I’m going to share them with you today.
I got this belif The true cream – moisturizing bomb as a 100 point perk from Sephora and since I used up my Origins moisturizer, I thought I’d give this one a try. This turned out to be a very hydrating and comfortable moisturizer. My skin stays moisturized all day, even in this confused NYC weather. To moisturize my body, I’ve been using the Bath & Body Works Wild Madagascar Vanilla 24 Hour Ultra Shea body cream and omg is this stuff good. It smells amazing and I get compliments every single time I wear it. I love it because it’s not sticky and the shea butter in it keeps my skin moisturized until my next shower. Next to my Marshmallow Fireside candle, the Wild Madagascar Vanilla ultra shea body cream is my favorite Bath and Body Works product.
I rediscovered my love for L’OREAL true match super-blendable foundation. I wear the shade Classic Tan N7 and it gives me the perfect dewy finish in these dry months. I make sure I set it with my Tarte Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder using the it Brushes for Ulta Blurring Powder Brush and my foundation looks flawless all day long.
My favorite mascara has been Benefit Cosmetics’ Roller Lash mascara. There are tiny bristles on the brush that makes getting in between all of your lashes easier and it provides a curl that makes my lashes look like falsies. When I want to add a bit of color to my face, I use the Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Colour with spf 15 in No. 60. It’s a bit darker than my skin and gives me the natural glow that I love.
I have fallen head over hills for Colourpop cosmetics and their Super Shock Shadows in La La and Game Face. The shadows are so easy to apply and they last all day, even without a primer. Plus, they’re only $5. What more can you ask for? Another Colourpop product that has been in my everyday rotation is the Ultra Matte Lip in Trap. Trap is a nude-pink that is perfect for everyday. When I’m not wearing Trap, I’ve been wearing elf’s Matte Lip Color in Praline. Praline is a brown color that is perfect on my caramel skin tone.
February has been a good month and I’m looking forward to what the rest of the year has in store. What were your top 3 favorites from February? Let me know in the comments below!
