The Estée Edit Pore Vanishing Stick
Hello everyone! It’s been a crazy 2 weeks since I last blogged and I have missed it so much! Here’s a quick update before we get to the beauty:
I started my internship on August 8th and I have been going nonstop ever since. I intern 3 days a week and work the other 4 (crazy, I know). I’m interning at a PR firm in New York and learning a ton! I literally learn something new every day that I’m there and I’m so grateful for the opportunity. We work with some big clients that are well loved and respected. I started in the women’s fashion department for the first week but asked if I could be apart of the beauty team, so I switched to beauty for the second week.
I’ve been contacted by a few PR people through my blog to be sent beauty products and it’s so interesting to see how the PR industry works from the other side. The thing I’m most excited about is New York Fashion Week! This Fall, the shows are taking place September 8-15 and this will be my first time working and being at New York Fashion Week. It’s been a goal of my mine to get to Fashion Week and even though I will be working and not actually attending, I consider this an achievement and will be crossing it off of my bucket list. Anyway, much more on my internship later! On to the product review:
I received the Estée edit Vox Box from the brand and Influenster to test out some products and share my thoughts. I’ve received boxes from Influenster before but I only post about it here when I feel that I’ve received something I want to share. This Vox Box was one of the best I’ve ever received.
The first product I wanted to share with you all is the Estée edit Pore Vanishing Stick. The Pore Vanishing Stick is $28 and sold exclusively at Sephora. It’s supposed to minimize pores, shine, and oil and can be used under or after makeup. The outer of the stick is made of oil absorbing powders and the center is a sheer pigment used to even out skin tone.
I’ve used this product for about a month now and I have to say that I really like it. It’s easy to use since it’s in stick form; just swipe where pores are noticeable for a blurred and even look. I love that it doesn’t feel like it’s clogging my pores and it could be used over or underneath my primer, or as my primer. Another thing I love is the packaging, it’s luxe and fun with the pop of cobalt blue.
The only thing I didn’t like about this product is that it did not work as well over makeup as it did under. The stick was left smeared with makeup, while it did nothing for my pores over makeup. This is a product that is travel and handbag friendly. I’m going to continue trying it out over makeup when I get that midday shine but even if that doesn’t work, I love it underneath my makeup. I have to say that I am impressed and will be trying more from the Estee edit! Have you tried anything from the brand? What did you think?
