In case you didn’t know, I love high-end makeup. The packaging draws me in and gets me every time. Sometimes the packaging is deceiving and the product doesn’t meet my expectations. I love doing reviews to let you know what is and isn’t worth your coins. Today, I’m sharing my Chanel Blush review of the shade Plum Attraction.
Chanel’s Joues Contraste Powder blushes retail for $45 and comes in a variety of colors.
I love shopping for makeup at Chanel because they always give you deluxe samples with your purchase/order. I usually like to place online orders when shopping for Chanel makeup because sometimes the SAs at the counters aren’t that friendly or they just try to oversell you things.
I have the blush in Plum Attraction and it seems to have been discontinued but there are a bunch of shades available. This review will be about the Chanel blush formula and not just the color. The blushes come with a small plastic brush and a mirror which I find helpful. I know a lot of people don’t like the plastic brushes but I’ve used this one while traveling and it works just fine. The mirror is one of my favorite features of this compact. It’s big enough that you can see what you’re doing and it’s just a nice compact to have to touch up your makeup on the go.
Something to note about this blush is the smell. Chanel blushes all have a faint rose smell. I know some people are really sensitive to smells but I love the smell of this blush. I think it’s a nice touch that adds to the luxurious feel of the product but if you’re sensitive to smell or have sensitive skin, I’d go and smell it before purchasing.
Some of the blushes have small flecks of glitter/shimmer in them. They are not noticeable once on the skin. This blush. in particular. has gold flecks in it but goes on completely matte on my skin. The shade is soft but it is buildable, so you control how intense you want it to be.
As I said, it’s very soft and velvety on the skin. It’s buildable and I love this shade of blush in the fall. I would definitely recommend trying out a blush from Chanel. The shades are so soft, which makes them really easy to apply. Chanel is one of my favorite formulas for blush.
