Get That OleGlow with Ole Henriksen Balance Skincare
Thanks to influenster and Ole Henriksen, Â I had the pleasure of trying out the Ole Henriksen Balance set. [I received these complimentary for testing purposes.] The set came with the Find Your Balance Oil Control Cleanser, Balancing Force Oil Control Toner, and Counter Balance Oil Control Hydrator moisturizer, the basic skincare essentials. The Balance set is meant to balance out the skin and control excess oils without stripping the skin of its natural glow, so of course, I was excited to test out those claims. Keep reading for my review of the Ole Henriksen Balance skincare line.
You guys know I live for a glow but I do have oily combo skin, so this sounded perfect for me. After one week of using this set, I fell in love! These products have peppermint and eucalyptus, so they give your skin a nice cool and fresh feeling. This is especially refreshing in the warm summer months.
Ole Henriksen Balance Skincare Review
This line of oil control products is made with Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA)- glycolic and lactic acid and Beta Hydroxy Acid – salicylic acid. AHAs and BHAs are great for exfoliating and refining pores and texture.
Find Your Balanceâ„¢ Oil Control Cleanser, $26Â
This is a pore-purifying cleanser with powerful AHAs to reduce excess oil and unclog pores, without stripping skin. I find that this gel cleanser did exactly what it was meant to do. I got a deep clean without leaving my skin feeling tight. The lactic & glycolic acids help to gently exfoliate the skin for a deeper clean, which helps the following products absorb better.
Balancing Force™ Oil Control Toner, $29
This oil-absorbing, mattifying toner minimizes the look of pores and delivers perfect hydration for balanced, healthy-looking skin. Salicylic Acid helps to remove acne-causing bacteria & excess oil, so this is perfect for those with acne-prone skin.
Counter Balance™ Oil Control Hydrator, $36
I loved this lightweight, mattifying moisturizer. It provides a good amount of hydration without feeling heavy like other moisturizers. This also has potent active botanicals and powerful AHAs to reduce oil and minimize the appearance of pores and improve the wear of foundation.
Overall, the simple packaging and ingredients, mattifying properties, refreshing feeling, and affordable price point all make these products winners for me. They’re perfect for those of us who have oily and/or acne-prone skin but hate the stripping feeling other oil-control products leave. These are also great for those who are just getting into skincare and want something affordable and effective.
