Beauty Empties #1
Beauty empties are one of my favorite types of posts to read. It’s impressive to finish an entire beauty product and the best way to find out someone’s true thoughts on a product after using it for months. Some products are a struggle to finish but some are so good that I get sad when I reach the last drop. Today, I’m sharing the products I’ve used up and mini reviews on each + if I’d repurchase them.
Makeup I Used Up
Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lashes Mascara – I loved how this mascara had a traditional bristled brush and not the plastic ones most brands have moved towards. It helped add volume to my already lengthy lashes, which is what I look for in a good mascara. I would purchase this in the future but there are some other mascaras on my list to try.
Dior Iconic Extreme Mascara – I received this as a gift and was so excited to try this mascara. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to my expectations. The brush was way to big and the bristle barely combed through my lashes. I’d end up with mascara all over my lids every time I tried using this. Would I repurchase? No.
Skincare I Used Up
Bioderma Sensibio H2O – I picked this up at IMATS after years of hearing beauty editors & bloggers rave about this French beauty classic. I now see what the fuss was all about. This is the most gentle but effective cleanser and makeup remover. I love using this as morning time cleanser, mid-day cleanser, makeup remover and pre-cleanser before my gel cleanser + clarisonic routine. This is a versatile product and staple in my routine.
Drunk Elephant Best No. 9 Jelly Cleanser – A great cleanser for removing excess oils and dirt. I loved the jelly texture and the medium lather. I have a bunch of cleansers I want to try out but I could see myself going back to this one in the future.
Indie Lee Brightening Cleanser – I loved the luxe glass bottle this comes in and the strawberry scent. I would definitely repurchase.
Kiehl’s Since 1851 Ultra Facial Cream – This is a simple moisturizer, loved by many! I love this in the winter to help soothe dry and flaky skin. I’d definitely repurchase this no-fuss moisturizer.
Tatcha Water Cream (Deluxe Sample) – Received this as a point-perk from Sephora and I’m obsessed. This is a very lightweight but deeply hydrating moisturizer, great for oily skin. I plan on buying the full size once I use up some other moisturizers.
Kiehl’s Creamy Avocado Eye Treatment – A water in oil formula that releases a burst of hydration once it’s been warmed up between your fingers. I love this as a winter moisturizer since it’s on the thicker side for my oily skin. Would repurchase!
Wellness Product I Used Up
Ritual Vitamins – These vitamins are everything I look for in a nutritional supplement. You can read my review on these here. I’ve already repurchased!
