Makeup Declutter 2018 | Single Blushes

I recently came across a no buy video, which led to hours of project pans and decluttering videos. I immediately became inspired to declutter my collection. Now, this is not the first time I’m decluttering this year. I’ve done several throughout the year in order to get my collection down to two 5 drawer acrylic cases from Muji. The smaller my collection becomes, the closer I get to my goals of having a more curated makeup collection of only things I love. And as I get closer, I want to document the process, starting with my blush declutter for 2018.

BEFORE

At the time, I had 9 single blushes including 5 powders and 4 creams. This isn’t including the blush pans in my customized palette. As you can see in the picture above, my collection mainly consisted of mauves, plums, and coral peaches. I loved all of my blushes but some were too old to keep around.

I ended up keeping the blushes I reach for the most. I tossed a NARS blush in Sin because I never wore it anymore. This blush was so popular in the beauty blog world a few years ago and I was influenced by the hype. The shimmery mauve isn’t my style anymore, so it had to go. I also decluttered my NARS Multiple in Maui and lilah b. Divine Duo Lip & Cheek in b. fearless because the shades just didn’t work for me.

I’m really happy with my current blush collection, including my de-panned blushes. How often do you declutter your stash?
