Hey Y’all. I hope you’re staying safe and healthy right now. I know it’s a difficult time for everyone with the uncertainty of COVID-19, which is why I took a little break to get my thoughts in order and also allow you all the space and time needed to process what was happening as things shift so often. I want to be mindful of what I’m sharing while also providing what I hope to be entertaining content and a welcomed distraction while we all practice social distancing.
I ordered the YSL Touche Eclat Blur Primer in the new silver version before this madness started and it arrived a couple of weeks ago. Since I haven’t had anything else to do but stay inside, I filmed a little first impression and demo video (below).
This primer retails for $52 but I snagged it during YSL Beauty’s spring sale, so it was 20% off the original price. The packaging is so beautifully designed, housed in a clear glass bottle with gold writing and a gold pump and cap. I love when products are in glass because it adds to that luxurious feeling.
As you can see from the photos, the product is filled with light-reflecting silver shimmer that gives the most beautiful glow to the skin. The texture is a smooth velvet finish that helps to blur imperfections on the skin. If you’ve ever tried the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer, the texture is similar to that.

Overall, the YSL Touche Eclat Blur Primer is a luxury product that I love having on my vanity. I’m still figuring out the best way to use it for my combo oily skin.
