It’s that time again. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, one of the year’s most anticipated shopping events, is back for 2020. You’ve probably seen a lot of coverage on the sale this week and that’s because the preview of the sale is finally live and there are so many good deals. Being the beauty lover that I am, I’ll be focusing my shopping efforts on the best luxury beauty deals, but there’s literally something for everyone in this sale.
If you’re not familiar with the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, it is a yearly shopping event where shoppers can find some of the best fashion, beauty, and home discounts on Nordstrom online and in-store for a limited amount of time.
With COVID-19 still being a thing, there are options for curbside pickup if you want your order faster or you can order online if you prefer to have it delivered to your door. I don’t live near a Nordstrom and I’m trying to avoid going outside anyway, so I’ll be placing my order online. I have heard that Nordstrom stores have put precautions in place to ensure shoppers have the safest shopping experience, so going in-store shouldn’t be too much of a risk.
When is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?
The Nordstrom Anniversary sale will start for the public on August 19 and end on August 30, unless you’re a Nordstrom cardmember with Insider status or higher. If you are a cardholder, you can view your sale dates next to your status level below. If you’re not a Nordstrom cardholder and would like to be, you can apply for a Nordstrom card here to automatically reach the Insider level and get early access starting on August 13. During the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, you’ll find popular fashion, beauty, and home decor brands on sale including Nike, Topshop, Diptyque, Kiehl’s, Charlotte Tilbury, Saint Laurent, and so many more. How to best shop the sale
The preview period is the time to browse the sale items and create your list for stress-free shopping. This is a highly-shopped event, so you want to make sure you save your picks so you’re able to quickly add to your cart and place your order. If this is your first time shopping at Nordstrom, I recommend creating an account and adding your payment method for a quicker checkout process. You can also create a wishlist and add your top picks from the preview to it, so you don’t have to spend time browsing each section on the day of the sale. I created a separate wishlist titled “Anniversary Sale” to make things easier on me.
My Top Beauty Picks from the Sale
As I mentioned above, my shopping efforts will be within the beauty department and man, are there some great deals this year. At the top of my list are the Diptyque Set of 5 Travel Size Candles and Necessaire Full Size The Body Wash & Lotion Set, so I’m hoping they’re still available when the sale starts for me.
