With every holiday season comes the stress of shopping for gifts and holiday parties. This year, I sat and thought about what would make holiday less stressful and less expensive. I came up with some ideas and I’m sharing my tips with you all today. So, whether your need a new dress for the office Christmas party, or checking everyone off of your Christmas list, here are my tips for saving time and money this holiday season.
Shop online.
I’m a strong advocate for online shopping. I love shopping online because you can usually find unique things that not everyone else will have. Also, most of the time you can find things for a cheaper price than it would be in store. Also, you can visit multiple sites and compare prices to make sure you’re getting the best deal.
Shop Black Friday & Cyber Monday Sales
These sales happen every year, so I suggest saving your dollars for this time of year when everything is on a serious discounted price. This way, you save money and get really good gifts. Usually, stores have really good deals on electronics on black Friday so it’s the perfect time to get a good discount on more expensive gifts.
Get Cash Back Using Ebates
When you sign up for Ebates, you can shop at your favorite online stores and earn a percentage of your total back. There are all kinds of stores on the site like Sephora, Nordstrom, boohoo, Target, and so much more. You can install the cash back button to your internet browser and it will notify you when you’re on a site that offers cash back. You can click activate and it tracks the back and calculates how much cash back you earn.
If you don’t want to install the button, you can also go to the site, find the store you want to shop at and click on the store and that opens a window to the store that’s tracking your purchase. There’s also an app that you can shop through but not all stores on Ebates offer cash back on mobile orders. At the end of the shopping cycle, which is every 3 months, you can choose to have the money sent in a check or directly deposited into your PayPal account. Use Ibotta when shopping in store – and online
With Ibotta, you unlock cash back rebates usually by watching a 15-30 second ad or taking a poll. Then, you buy the products and keep the receipt. You have to verify your purchase by scanning the products and taking a picture of your receipt. I like Ibotta because you can earn cash back on a lot of different categories including groceries, restaurants, beer, wine & spirits, and pharmacy. You can redeem the cash back in gift cards to places like Target, Starbucks, Sephora, Amazon, and so many other places. Or you can withdraw the cash using your paypal or venmo account.
