Last week, I gave you my recommendations on some of my favorite products to shop for during the Sephora VIB sale 2017. Today, I’m sharing what’s on my personal wishlist. I’m at 5 pages on my Sephora love list, so these are items that I’ve been having my eye on for a while now.
You’ll notice that everything on my list is either from a luxury brand, a gift set, or a natural beauty supplement or product. During the Sephora sale, I like to stock up on things I’ve run out of but I won’t bore you with the boring stuff. Above are things that I wouldn’t normally be able to get on sale. Luxury beauty brands like Tom Ford and Jo Malone rarely, if ever, go on sale. This is the perfect time to try new things from high-end brands; even better if it’s in a set.
For this sale, I’ve strategically chosen brands that I’m new to but been wanting to try. Hourglass has always intrigued me but I never could decide on exactly what to try. Their Confession Ultra Slim Lipstick seems like a cool idea since the holder is refillable. And let’s be honest, the packaging is beautiful! I feel like I would love the slim design of the lipsticks as well.
I’ve also been DYING to try something from Pat McGrath Labs. She is the mother of makeup and as a black woman in beauty, I admire her so much. I really want an eye shadow palette but those prices.. Anyway, I’ve heard so many great things about her lipsticks, so I plan on scooping up one for the low.
Fenty Beauty’s Killawatt duo in Girl Next Door/Chic Phreak is on my radar for an everyday highlight. I’m also debating on if Tom Ford’s Skin Illuminating Powder Duo will show on my skin tone. Any girls with a similar skin tone to mine out there that have tried this, let me know if it’s worth it.
Aside from makeup, I really have been getting more into clean beauty brands. I’m finally taking a chance on a natural deodorant. This one smells like vanilla (my fave) so I’m hoping I’ll like it. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve really began to focus on beautifying from within using supplements and naturally anti-aging ingredients. Moon Juice’s Beauty Dust sounds like just what I need to get these cells renewing quickly to keep my skin looking like I’ve been drinking from the fountain of youth. The Hum Beauty Zzzz is literally to help me sleep, instead of staying up late at night to write blog posts..
I have this Deborah Lippmann nail polish set in my cart but I honestly don’t know if I need more polish. This set is full of nudes and nude-y pinks and it’s just calling my name. Stay tuned to see if I actually purchase. Lastly, you all know how much I love candles. Jo Malone makes some of the best scents I’ve ever smelled and to have one of their candles in my room sounds like paradise.
