Sleeping Beauty Products

Today is about beauty sleep! Specifically, beauty products and supplements that were made to hydrate and treat your skin overnight, to reveal healthier looking skin by morning. I love products that I can slap on and have them do the heavy lifting while I sleep.

Overnight Masks

Most of these come in the form of sleeping masks. We all know that I love the Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask for moisturizing and replenishing dull and tired looking skin. It’s different from most mask as it also treats the eye area as well.

I was recently introduced to the Belif Aqua Bomb Sleeping Mask when I received it in the gift bag at Generation Beauty. It’s a gel-textured mask that smooths and hydrates skin. I love the lightweight texture and how quickly it absorbs.

If you’re looking for a little bit more than hydration, I’d recommend the Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask or the Rodial Dragon’s Blood Hyaluronic Mask, depending on your goal. The Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask is an overnight mask made with watermelon extract, hyaluronic acid, and AHAs that gently exfoliate skin to remove dead skin cells. This masks hydrates and  for glowing, even skin, plus, it smells like watermelon. If you want a gentler acid, Rodial Dragon’s Blood Hyaluronic Mask uses hyaluronic acid to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles overnight.

Treatments

Some people are put off by overnight mask for fear of clogged pores or messy pillow cases. Although I can confirm that I haven’t experienced either, there are other products that work the night shift to help you achieve healthier skin. One of my favorites is the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate, which is a blend of oils such as lavender, primrose, and squalane, that work to hydrate, smooth and repair skin from the effects of pollution and other daily environmental aggressors. This is also great for helping you look like you got a proper night’s rest, even if you haven’t and the relaxing smell of the lavender in this puts me into a deep sleep. Kiehl’s has also got your eyes covered with the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Eye, a nighttime eye cream that reduces puffiness, dark circles and fine lines. These two products are a holy grail duo that I will continue to repurchase.

The Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask blew up in popularity in recent years and with good reason. This amazing smelling overnight lip treatment uses hyaluronic acid to smooth and plump lips while you’re sleeping to reveal soft, moisturized lips by morning.

Supplements

Lastly, a key tip in looking refreshed in the morning is actually getting enough sleep at night. I’m always working on quieting my mind and turning in early to help in the anti-aging process, but it isn’t easy. I picked up the Hum Nutrition Beauty zzZz supplement to use 20 minutes before bedtime when I need a little help dozing off. This natural supplement has 3 milligram of melatonin to aid in a restful night’s sleep.
