I went to Mexico for a friend’s wedding and came back last week with the nicest (although uneven) tan. The 80 degree weather was just what I need to re-light the fire inside to start getting creative. You see, I had become very unproductive over the last few months. I blame the winter blues. Now that it’s getting warmer, I feel alive again. I didn’t do a great job of taking pictures during my trip but I do have some photos of what I wore to show you. If you have a tropical vacation planned soon, read on for a few casual outfit ideas from my trip to Mexico.

Casual Outfit Ideas Mexico
Day 1: Cocktail Reception
There was a cocktail reception on the first night that I was in Mexico. I wore a romper in darker colors so that I wasn’t too casual. I paired it will nude heels and tassel earrings. I was super surprised at how much I loved these earrings. I usually stick to my go-to studs or hoops, so this was a nice change.

Day 2: Pool Day + Other Swimsuits I Wore
I didn’t take pictures on the days we were at the pool but these are the swimsuits I wore. As you can see, I mostly wore black since I’ve been slacking in the exercise department. I did go for a fun palm print on the dedicated pool day, which I was obsessed with. If you’re looking for affordable swimsuits under $30, check out the above.

Day 3: Wedding + Reception
Wearing Dress / Necklace / Earrings / Heels
The wedding had an all-white dress code, which was so hard to shop for. I finally found this dress on ASOS the week that I was leaving for Mexico and selected two-day shipping to make sure I received it in time. Being my procrastinating self, I also found these Steve Madden heels the weekend before my trip, as well. I love how this outfit looked and will be wearing it again should I have a fancy spring event to attend.

Day 4: Beach Day
Click to shop // Shirt / Furry Slides / Earrings / Sunglasses
We spent the last full day at the beach and the pool. This is where I really worked on my tan. I couldn’t come back to New York without a Mexico glow. I kept my outfit really simple with this striped shirt that I bought it a few sizes up and these fun furry slides. I am now obsessed with furry slides and I can’t wait to wear these all throughout the spring/summer seasons.
