I’ve been trying to resuscitate my style after playing it safe due to a little weight gain. I decided that I wouldn’t let a few extra lbs get in the way of me showing up as my full self, so I went on a little shopping spree. Honestly, I have quarantine to thank for all of the recent online orders I’ve placed, but we won’t focus on that. Instead, let me direct your attention to 2 things I’ve been loving lately: faux leather, specifically in shades of brown, and mini statement bags that are iced out in rhinestones. The latter is random, I know.

This season, I’m sure you’ve seen faux leather in many shades of brown while doing your fall shopping. I picked up some faux leather pants in a cognac color after seeing them on one of my favorite YouTubers, Melsoldera. This led me to also ordering a cognac faux leather pleated skirt (pictured) and it’s safe to say that I’m now obsessed with this color trend. I’ve always been a fan of faux leather in the fall but this new color is a fresh take on the trend that I love.

Rhinestoned Everything

A new style that I’ve been incorporating into my own is the luxe, glam look. Think rhinestoned everything: hoops, jeans, and my current obsession: mini bags aka clutches. I ordered this colorful popcorn bag last month and my obsession with this style just took off, leaving me with a wishlist filled with other pop art crystal clutches. Their like wearable works of art and I’d love to invest in a designer version one day. But for now, these more affordable options will have to due.
