Is the Chanel Beauty L’EAU DE MOUSSE Anti-Pollution Water-to-Foam Cleanser Worth It?
Chanel L’EAU DE MOUSSE is the latest addition to Chanel’s Anti-Pollution line and it’s made for those with sensitive skin.
During the fall and winter, I prefer a cleanser that’s gentle for the morning, so I decided to try this new launch to see if it would work for my combo oily skin.
Keep reading for my review of the Chanel L’eau De Mousse Cleanser.
WHAT IT IS
Chanel’s L’eau De Mousse Cleanser is $47 for 5 fl oz, the same as their other cleansers, and comes in a light pink-tinted bottle and their signature black pump. It’s described as a gentle, soap-free cleanser that’s good for sensitive skin types. It does have added fragrance that’s really fresh and light.
What it does
L’eau De Mousse claims to remove pollutants, oil, and sunscreen, leaving the complexion refreshed, hydrated, and supple, with a healthy-looking glow. It lives up to the claim of leaving the skin feeling refreshed and although I’m using it as a morning cleanser, it is effective for removing excess oils and sunscreen without stripping the skin.
TEXTURE
In the bottle, the texture is a thin liquid, which Chanel describes as micellar water, but it turns into a slightly watery foam, that lathers really nicely on the skin. Comparable to La Mousse and Le Gel, L’eau de Mousse has a fresh, mineral water smell. Also similar to La Mousse, the texture is what makes this cleanser stand out. It’s meant to be applied to damp skin to get a gentle cleanse but I prefer to use it on dry skin before adding a little water to create a thicker lather.
Who it’s for
This is a great cleanser for those with normal to oily, sensitive skin, who don’t mind a bit of fragrance. If you have dry skin or someone who wears makeup every day and looking for a do-it-all cleanser, I would recommend looking into one of Chanel’s other cleansers.
